Is carmel the best city to live in?

CHICAGO (CBS) — If you're looking for the best places to live in the U.S. In the US, Chanhassen, Minnesota, ranked first as the best place to live and Franklin Tennessee ranked third. Carmel received an overall rating of A+ from Niche. His lowest score was, yes, the weather.

Carmel earned a perfect A+ score in the categories of public schools, housing, good for families and jobs. The Carmel business district now has the second highest concentration of office workers in Indiana and an unemployment rate that is just over half the national average. Year-round, there's the Monon Greenway, an asphalt trail that stretches for five miles in Carmel and is perfect for running, biking and dog watching (pets allowed). All public schools in Carmel received an A grade or higher, with the exception of Options Charter School, which received a C.

Niche gave Carmel an A-Plus score for its public schools, housing, labor market, health and fitness and family focus; an A lower in public safety; a B more in life nighttime, diversity and outdoor activities; rated B for the cost of living and travel to work; and a B lower for the climate. Carmel also finished first on the Niche list last year, but other lists have placed Fishers first. But, with all those A ratings, there are still areas where Carmel can improve, depending on the scores.
